From the Streets to the World Stage
Titled 'From the Streets to the World Stage', this award-winning interactive editorial piece showcases the story behind breaking, and its rapid rise to the Olympics, in a creative and engaging way.
The Red Bulletin had written an incredible story documenting the compelling history of breaking - from its roots all the way to the Olympics. Our job was to design a dynamic and immersive timeline which displayed the content in an engaging and digestible format and allowed the user to go on a journey of their own by scrolling through the key milestones.
It was important to bring the energy and excitement of breaking to the experience. To help us do this we introduced spinning animations to echo the dance movements, bold typography to make it impactful, an interactive timeline to engage the user from the very start, micro animations to bring immersivity and lines which broke the content down into distinctive parts, adding rythm to the page.
It's award-winning! This experience won the jury prize in the Websites and Mobile Sites - Magazine category at the 2023 Webby Awards.
